The feed hopper of the bag opener is charged per front loader or other feedingmeans. Themoving floor

conveyor inside the feed hopper transports the plastic bags and bulkmaterial into the filling duct of the

machine. The conveying and ripping elements transport the material further into the opening

channel. The hydraulically driven openingmechanism is equipped with ripping fingers. The plastic

bags are opened and almost completely emptied. The contents is being transported to the

subsequent sorting plant in an evenmaterial flow. Thematerial is being discharged over a conveyor

belt provided by the customer.

The machine is designed as a rigid tubular framed and sheetmetal profile construction encased in

a protective covering. The unique features of thismachine provide hard wear and durability against

most difficult conditions. The clearing between the lower edge of the substructure and the upper edge

of the discharge conveyor must not drop below 600 mm.

Due to the positioning, an oil tank cooler is provided.

All rotating elements are furnished with heavy duty, lubricable, encapsulated roller bearings. In order

to attain an optimal opening and discharging capacity, the material passage is variable. This

function adjusts itself automatically to different degrees of sack admission, to large volume and solid

disruptivematerial and to the changing forms of material input. The clamping arms are pressed

against the ripping drums by means of hydraulic cylinders with adjustable pressure.

Themachine is furnished with the required electrical control systemincluding all the necessary

safety and monitoring facilities and corresponds to the current VDE (Association of German

Electrical Engineers) and UV (German Safety) regulations.

Feed hopper with moving floor conveyor

Feed hopper in stable sectional stell frame construction. The hopper walls are manufactured

in 4 mm steel sheet with the necessary reinforcements. The hopper volume amounts to

approx. 18 m³.

Moving floor conveyor in stable sectional steel construction. The moving floor is made from

a number of push-boards with fitted wear sheets. The push-boards constist of steel profiles

mounted and guided on wear resistant synthetic material. In groups of three the push-boards

are hydraulically moved. This forward and backward movement provides the conveying

function.

Hydraulic drive unit consisting of the three double acting hydraulic cylinders, the required

hydraulic connecting conduits and a hydraulic unit with the electromagnetically activated

distributing valves, control- and security valves, oil filter, oil tank, etc. complete and operative.

The chain belt conveyor is a profiled sectional steel construction in screwed and welded design.

As traction mechanisme a double-line bush chain with a separation of 125mm and a diameter of

the rollers of 63mm is used. The vulcanized rubber belt is screwed on C profiles which are

mounted between each second chain-link. For the support the C-profiles move on screwed

guiding rails. On the surface of the belt there are carriers made of angular steel with a distance

of 1 m. All screw fittings are designed with self-locking screw-nuts.

The guiding rails are made of St 52 and are also screwed.

Self-supporting steel framework with 45 mm thick hard foam panels, surrounded by 0.6 mm

thick galvanised steel plate (RAL 9002). The double groove springs integrated in the hard foam

panels with a labyrinth effect and integrated seal ensure a virtually air-tight and thermal bridgefree

design of the outer wall.

Accessible ceiling design (load-bearing capacity 100 kg/panels). Design of the ceiling same as

wall structure only with 80 mm thick panels.

Window frames made of highly impact-resistant and weather-resistant PVC. The profile system

is equipped with anti-chambers and two all-round compression seals. Corrosion-protected

material reinforcements in the wing and frame profile provide the windows with the necessary

stability. The windows are double-glazed with insulation glass. Glazing 2 x 4 mm float glass with

16 mm air gap. The doors have one leaf and a glass panel. The door leaf is 45mm thick,

rabbeted on two sides, reinforcement made of flat steel.

A mineral fibre plate is used as a heat insulating material. The cabin is illuminated with 500 lux

in the area of the sorting work stations.

The floor construction consists of a steel sub-structure, which is integrated in the sorting

platform. A layer of chip board 22 mm thick (D-s2,d0) is laid on this. Insulation is applied to this

first layer.

This insulation has a heat transition coefficient of 0.29 W/m²K. The next layer applied is another

layer of chip board. The chip board is 38 mm thick and corresponds to the fire classification

B s1 d0. As the last layer, the PVC floor covering is laid in a dish shape. The floor covering

corresponds to the fire classification B1. The slip resistance corresponds to class R. The floor

covering is anti-static (<2kV) and has a thermal resistance coefficient of approx. 0.005 m²K/W.

Non-ferrous separator

Application

The application fields of the non-ferrous separators are numerous. Valuable metals can be

recuperated from automobile scrap- and cable processing. The recycling of valuable substances

as well as glass recycling become economical through the non-ferrous separator. In simple

terms, the non-ferrous separator is a separation magnet for nonmagnetic metals like aluminium

and copper. Due to quickly changing magnetic fields various materials are separated. The

operation within the bulk goods are removed by an additional magnetic belt separator whereby

the non-ferrous separation is improved. In contrast to electromagnetically working eddy-current

separators permanent magnetic separators do not need energy for generating a magnetic field

but for driving the magnetic system. They are thus environmentally beneficial and particularly

economical. Due to the compact design non-ferrous separators can be reinstalled into already

existing plants without any problems.

of the conveyor is similar to the sliding belt conveyor (GG). The driving-drum is not rubberized to

avoid unbalances and therefore oscillations under higher speeds. The electric drive is installed

"shovingly" to grant the access to the guide rail of the valves. The belt sealing to the side wall is

designed as a grinding lip seal but with smooth

sealing lips to allow a higher belt velocity. The discharge hood shows

a maintenance door and an adjustable guide plate.

Adjustable retainers for the guide rails of the valves and for the separating drum are also

installed in the painted hood. The separating drum has a diameter of 135mm ( belt 2900mm /

The belt movement is sliding on the smooth trough shaped table area of the conveyor. The

conveyor belt structures are made of a robust profiled sectional steel construction.

The electric drive is effected by a bevel gear drive motor type SEW. Driving- and guide-drums

have a diameter of 320 mm (spherical) with a crowned finish in order to obtain an optimal

guiding of the belt. The dismounting of the driving- and guide-drums is to be effected in axial

direction through the frame of the conveyor. The driving drum is rubberized.

The bearing is amply dimensioned with branded flange bearings of 60mm.

Plug wipers clean the interior belt. On plain belts a wiper is mounted at the end of the dropping

side.

The chain belt conveyor is a profiled sectional steel construction in screwes and welded design,

As traction mechanisme a double- line bush chain with a separation of 125 mm and a diameter

of the rollers of 63 mm is used. The vulcanized rubber belt is screwed on C profiles which are

mounted between each second chain-link. For the support the C- profiles move on screwed

guiding rails. On the surface of the belt there are carriers made of angular steel with a distance

of 1 m. All screw fittings are designed with self-locking screw-nuts.

The guiding rails are made of St. 52 and are also screwed.

Self-supporting steel framework with 45 mm thick hard foam panels, surrounded by 0.6 mm

thick galvanised steel plate (RAL 9002). The double groove springs integrated in the hard foam

panels with a labyrinth effect and integrated seal ensure a virtually air-tight and thermal bridgefree

design of the outer wall.

Accessible ceiling design (load-bearing capacity 100 kg/panels). Design of the ceiling same as

wall structure only with 80 mm thick panels.

Window frames made of highly impact-resistant and weather-resistant PVC. The profile system

is equipped with anti-chambers and two all-round compression seals. Corrosion-protected

material reinforcements in the wing and frame profile provide the windows with the necessary

stability. The windows are double-glazed with insulation glass. Glazing 2 x 4 mm float glass with

16 mm air gap. The doors have one leaf and a glass panel. The door leaf is 45mm thick,

rabbeted on two sides, reinforcement made of flat steel.

A mineral fibre plate is used as a heat insulating material. The cabin is illuminated with 500 lux

in the area of the sorting work stations.

The floor construction consists of a steel sub-structure, which is integrated in the sorting

platform. A layer of chip board 22 mm thick (D-s2,d0) is laid on this. Insulation is applied to this

first layer.

This insulation has a heat transition coefficient of 0.29 W/m²K. The next layer applied is another

layer of chip board. The chip board is 38 mm thick and corresponds to the fire classification B s1

d0. As the last layer, the PVC floor covering is laid in a dish shape. The floor covering

corresponds to the fire classification B1. The slip resistance corresponds to class R. The floor

covering is anti-static (<2kV) and has a thermal resistance coefficient of approx. 0.005 m²K/W.

A control cabinet with all input and output circuits which are necessary for the operating of the

plant is constructed.

The plant is equipped with an alarm horn and a flashing alarm lamp.

Steel construction

The general steel construction allows to walk around all machines, cabins and aggregates for

maintenance and inspection on one level. The construction mainly consists of rolled steel

sections (sand streamed and conserved) and is designed very rigid to avoid vibrations. The

thickness of the surface coating is standard 60 mμ (2K-HS-Acrylic-Single-coat lacquer). The

steel construction is strongly screwed to the cement floo (preferably SLW 60) through heavyduty

dowels.

All walkways, stairways, guard rails, step ladders are manufactured and calculated according to

EN ISO 14122. The guard rails consist of handrails, knee rails and foot rails.

Engineering, Documentation

The mbs® company plans the whole plant in close collaboration and agreement with the client.

The client makes available to the contractor all necessary documents of the customer supplied

units. The plant is designed by the contractor to the highest standards. All regulations valid for

this type of plant are observed. The necessary safety installations are included in this offer.

The licensing requirements which have been given to the contractor in writing until the submittal

of quotation are included in this offer. All other regulations are not part of the scope of supply

and services.

The contractor issues to the client a CE-declaration of conformity (complete plant) or a

CE-declaration of manufacturer (components). To obtain a CE-declaration of conformity the

contractor must be given all CE-declarations of manufacturer of the units supplied by the

customer and if so of all existing plant parts. For the contractor it is only possible to issue a

declaration of conformity after handing over all declarations of manufacturer as mentioned

above. Until this moment the contractor can only hand over the declarations of manufacturer of

the individual components to the client.

The client receives a printed documentation in duplicate in a ring binder and one in electrical

version on CD.

The documentation is in English.

Instruction:

After the end of installation the employees chosen by the client are trained in operating the

equipment by our project and installation manager.

During this training all safety issues are explained and shown to them on site.

The maintenance and operating instructions are discussed in detail and are shown on the

machines. At specific machines further training is undertaken.

With the same employees the training of the control and visualisation is done.

The attention is especially turned to the treatment of interferences.

After the training all participants have to sign a training report.

Optional mounting and start up

The mechanical mounting and cold and/or warm start-ups are not included in this offer. We

propose to place two head-workmen for the installation of the offered equipment on a time and

material basis.

Scope of supply and service

The engineering services of complete plants contain the layout plan, the operating instructions

in duplicate as well as the CE declaration of conformity.

Not included in the scope of supply and service are:

- Masonry and mortising works, earth removals and concrete foundations, fretworks and

fretwork closings.

- Statical calculations and threat analyses.

- Building site lightening, electrical energy, water supply and waste water.

- Manufacturing aid, manufacturing material for trials and test run.

- Current entry to switch cabinet.

All services not especified are not included in this offer. The client is responsible for fire

protection requiremen Fire-watch has to be provided by the customer for the period required.

Differences in floor level up to 3 cm, based on the floor space will be graduated by …®,

additional expenditures caused by bigger discrepan bears the builder. Erection and construction

clearances have to be provided for at relevant locations Sanitary facilities and dressing rooms at

site are allowed to be used by the mounting personel of …®.

Guarantee

The supplier grants a 12 months, or maximum 3.500 h working hours, guarantee on all new

plant parts except wear and tear parts, subject to a conventional use in a normal operation. The

guarantee commences with the start-up of the plant, however 6 weeks after supply at the latest.

Pricing term ex works, plus legal VAT

Price is calculated without transportation costs, customs duties, taxes, exportation expenses or

any other fee and charges which may occur.

Period allowed for payment

14 days net, without any deduction of discounts, without money transfer costs, to one of our

bank accounts. Is the payment delayed, the contractor can stop project works. All scheduled

tasks will delay minimum for the period of payment delay.

The time of delivery is valid after mutual signment of confirmation of order, after final

commercial and technical clarification and after receipt of prepayment
